I am in the prime of my life at 31! Yes 31. Back in June 1999 I had a burning sensation in my heart area that never got worse with exercise. It just seemed to happen all of a sudden! I went to the ER and my EKG was normal. Somehow God told me I was in trouble. I looked on online and saw so excerpts about Dr. Linus Pauling. I tried his recommendations and felt better. So I stopped. I had no idea that I was preventing and reversing heart problems. When my pain stopped I thought I was ok. So I stopped the Pauling Therapy. Big mistake. The pain came back!
The doctors kept telling me I was fine, I was normal. Even one doctor told me that my pain was not real! The nerve of this jerk. He tried to tell me my pain was psychological! After months of complaining to my cardiologist of my symptoms, I made him examine me. To humor me he did. Well he found my left circumflex artery to be blocked 80%!
He immediately put in a stent, there was no mention of alternative treatments etc. I was grateful to him for saving my life. However, no one prepared me for the pains I would have with the stent. After about 10 days I started getting massive headaches. To my suprise the drug coating on the stent and the statin drugs did not mix well. Later that week I found out that my cholesterol was never high to begin with!! Again these doctors treated me like every other person. He gave me drugs I did not need! I immediately stopped my statin drugs! If you think for one minute cholesterol causes heart disease you are mistaken. The medical field has you believeing that.
The headaches where so bad I just had to down as many aspirin as possible with out getting in trouble. I got the flushing head feeling, the back pains. I never had any of these symptoms prior to stenting. All the docs could say was it wasn't the procedure, it's the weather!
