We are stuck in a cholesterol paradigm

The fact remains that cholesterol has never been directly proven to be implicated in causing heart disease. Researchers like Dr. Ancel Keys, who was the most famous promoter of this theory during the 20th century, stated over and over that it was only a risk factor, not a direct cause. It isn't even a true risk factor such as cigarette smoking, which is something foreign and unnecessary to our bodies. Cholesterol, on the other hand, is a fundamental building block of every cell in our body. Dr. Keys observed that the human body has the ability to both synthesize and remove cholesterol from the bloodstream.

The problem with the cholesterol theory is that atherosclerosis occurs in people with low to normal cholesterol levels. If it was the real cause then this shouldn’t happen. It is like someone making the assumption that all swans are white, but if one black swan swims down the river then their premise falls apart. So it goes with the cholesterol theory of heart disease. One cannot possibly conclude that it causes atherosclerosis if it occurs in people with low cholesterol, which it does.

Billions of dollars have been spent over the years on treatments that are completely useless and harmful to our bodies. How have we been so deceived? Millions of lives have been cut short due to this falsehood. This is absolutely tragic. We have been led to believe that cholesterol is dangerous even though our bodies create it. This is what's called being stuck in a paradigm.
